HOW SYNCHRONiCiTY PLAYED A PART IN THE CREATION OF THE KEUKA LAKE SOULFUL ART RETREAT
It was summer in Brazil. Emilie and I had finished facilitating our weekly LIVE ZOOM class, and our last participant had just logged off, giving us a few minutes to talk.
“It would be cool if we could do this together in real life one day,” Emilie said. “Like at a retreat.”
I stopped what I was doing and stood there, looking at the tiny, one-inch digital version of Emilie who was wearing a green tank top and holding a glass of water — because she had said exactly what I had been thinking in that moment.
That kind of synchronicity was not new for us. Despite the thousands of miles between us, we often texted at the exact same moment. Had similar ideas. For whatever reason, things have always seemed to just flow for us.
“It would be amazing,” I agreed, as I continued to rinse out my paintbrushes.
And suddenly, I could see it.
I could see us doing it.
Over the last year, Emilie and I have combined our strengths & our communities. We have continued to dream and, as it turns out, our vision for a retreat was so completely aligned, that after many months of intense brainstorming and planning, I’m excited to announce that the two of us will be co-hosting our first retreat together this summer!
It’s called
The Keuka Lake Soulful Art Retreat,
& it runs July 20 – 25, 2026.
This retreat is for women who crave embodied community — shared meals, shared space, shared breath.
It’s about pausing. Tuning into your inner world & your creative self. It’s about slowing down, paying attention, and allowing events to unfold in a way that feels natural, nourishing & deeply personal.
It’s about self-expression, gentle movement, nourishing meals & rest.
Summer in New York’s Finger Lakes Region is magical with its sparkling water, vineyard-lined hills, and relaxed lakeside charm. There are old barns, farm stands and local shops to explore, glowing sunsets over the hills, dockside dinners, and the easy rhythm of small-town life — the kind of summers that feel slow and easy.
And slow and easy is what this retreat is all about.
